On the heels of completing two projects to transform learning and collaboration spaces at the University of Minnesota-Morris, Engan Associates received the “Outstanding Design” accolade from American School and University magazine. These renovation projects breathed new life into Morris's Blakely Hall and the Humanities building.
“Engan Associates has a long history of creating spaces where students feel comfortable, can hang out, and build community. This always starts with an insightful predesign phase.” (Senior Director David Israels-Swenson commenting on Engan Associates’ decades of service to the University. These were our 70th and 71st projects on campus.)
Marshall’s City Hall project is forging ahead, transforming previously dated downtown city offices into a modern facility to provide city services and community gathering spaces. Local government projects are also in progress in several other West Central Minnesota communities. These include a project to optimize government services in Olivia through expanding the city hall to include police, fire hall, and city offices.
Project Turnabout, one of the region’s leading organizations for substance abuse and gambling addiction treatment, broke ground November 4th on the newest facility in its developing Willmar campus for women. This new women’s unit will add important support for women as they journey through treatment into re-integration into community life. This is the tenth project Engan Associates has completed for Project Turnabout.
