The Shared Vision

This treatment center needed to grow both the size and quality of its facility to meet growing demand for services. Separate areas needed to be developed for men’s and women’s programs, which had previously been combined. The design needed to create spaces that were as home-like as possible — a contrast to the institutional feeling of the existing building.
Innovative Design
Research shows that recovery outcomes are better when programs are delivered in environments that are as home-like and warm as possible. This is the spirit that was expressed in every part of this project, from the new home-like living areas to the offices and counseling rooms, dining and kitchen facilities, nursing station, and recreation and exercise rooms.
