The Shared Vision
Morris, MN
Morris's Regional Fitness Center needed increased visibility for its welcome center. There was also a need for multi-use spaces for collaboration, socializing, and recreation. The look and feel of the space needed to be playful and energetic, while project cost needed to be controlled within the budget of a not-for-profit project. The fitness center is located on the University of Minnesota, Morris campus and is a not-for-profit collaboration between the university, the City of Morris, Stevens County, and the Morris Area School District.
Innovative Design
The completed project enhanced student and community member experience through upgrading a functional information desk into a destination space: the MN Ice Smoothie Bar. The project provided a combined juice bar and information desk at the connection between the Morris Regional Fitness Center and campus facilities. Modern furnishings and finishes breathed fresh life into the space, creating a space users look forward to using.
