Project Turnabout – Granite Falls Campus

The Shared Vision

Granite Falls, MN

Our work with Project Turnabout began in 2000 with rebuilding after a devastating tornado. We first provided a master plan that reflected the program’s philosophy: addiction recovery at Project Turnabout is “a whole new world.” This developed into a multi-phase project including the one featured here. Completed in 2015, this $6.4 million project expanded residential and educational facilities in order to provide for increased demand for the center’s services.

Innovative Design

Project Turnabout’s design emphasizes the natural environment, residential scale and lifestyle environment details to enhance patients’ feelings of self-esteem and well-being. Emphasis on rock outcroppings and the restoration of native prairie grass and cactus graphically illustrate that life can be a new world, different and beautiful.

We had people in here today from other treatment centers across the country and they commented on how warm and comforting it is here compared to other facilities. It is more like a home than a treatment center.
